As you are going to see through my digital garden, I am passionate about computer science. I started to code my first line 8 years ago on an Arduino to send a sensor balloon for a school project. I was really fascinated by this little line allowing you to build anything you want just with time and learning. So, as most French people wanting to learn coding, I discovered OpenClassrooms (initially Le site du Zéro) and its courses on Python. Since this period, I have been really focused on understanding everything related to this field, directly or indirectly. So, I started to dig deeply into some subjects when I needed it but often, after 2-3 months, I didn’t remember some part and so, I needed to dig into it again. I don’t like this feeling because I have the feeling of not moving forward and just repeating the same steps again and again. And one day, a friend talked to me about a way of taking notes easily and I stumbled upon the concept of second brain on YouTube. It’s exactly what I needed and so, I started to write down every concept and thing that I discovered. After 3 years of taking notes, I decided to open my second brain and share with the world my knowledge on subjects and I think there are a lot of subjects where I need advice and correction, so I hope this will be a place of mutual aid 😉 I will gradually make my notes public because I have more than 2500 notes and it takes time to review them.

By the way, at the moment, I fell into the rabbit hole of the RISC-V architecture, assembly and Operating System (OS), so I decided to develop a Kernel in Rust with the help of Operating Systems: Three easy pieces.

Currently, I am at the start of the development and I’m still learning how kernels and CPUs work and so, I’m developing the memory management and after that, the scheduler. You can find the kernel here.

I think I’m going to write some articles about my ferrum (its name) kernel at some point or any other subjects but this is the goal of the digital garden, share anything that goes through my mind even if it’s raw content without any formalization.
